Oy! You Britt's! I had no idea "London" would be such a hot topic! I shoulda put Hard Rock Café in the topic instead, LOL. Thanks for the giggles though!
There's a Hard Rock Cafe in Nottingham, I'll get Trev to get you a souvenier from there, if you like, he works in Nottingham.Let me know
Linda
Awe Linda that would be awesome! I'll send you a PM and we can work out the details, thanks so much for the offer!!!!

I bet you've been to most of those places unlike me who lives vicariously through other peoples travels. Oh and thanks for the reminder......I need to put a sticky on the bottom of where/when/who I got them from before I get too old and feeble to remember!
Hi Bikerchic
I've just come back from holiday in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
We went to the Hard Rock Cafe there a few times and we bought 7 T shirts. If we would have known we would have got what you wanted too.
By the way, don't worry about the thread being taken over from Mancunians trying to make out that Manchester is the best - I live near London, I work there twice a week and I go for shopping, sightseeing, museums, meals etc etc as often as I can and I can assure you that I have travelled all round the world and possibly with the exception of New York, there is no where that can touch good old London Town!
"Manchester"
Paul Heaton, Dave Rotheray
From Northernden to Partington it's rain
From Altrincham to Chadderton it's rain
From Moss Side to Swinton hardly Spain
It's a picture postcard of 'wish they never came'
And whilst that deckchair in the garden it makes no sense
It doesn't spoil the view or cause offence
Those Floridas, Bavarias and Kents
Make gentlemen wear shorts but don't make gents
So convertibles stay garage-bound
Save after-sun for later
If rain makes Britain great
Then Manchester is greaterAs you dry your clothes once again
Upon the radiator
What makes Britain great
Makes Manchester yet greater
From Cheetham Hill to Wytenshawe it's rain
Gorton, Salford, Sale pretty much the same
As I'm caught without my jacket once again
The raindrops on my face play a sweet refain
And as winter turns reluctantly to spring
For the clouds above the city there's one last fling
Swallows build their nests, chaffinch sing
And the sun strolls into town like long lost king
So convertibles stay garage-bound
Save after-sun for later
If rain makes Britain great
Then Manchester is greaterAs you dry your clothes once again
Upon the radiator
What makes Britain great
Makes Manchester yet greater
And the mood of this whole sodden place is melancholy
Like the sun came out to play, shone through the clouds
But dropped its lolly
And everyone looks so disappointed, so, so sorry
Like the rain blew into town, kidnapped the sun
And stole it's brolly
So convertibles stay garage-bound
Save after-sun for later
If rain makes Britain great
Then Manchester is greaterAs you dry your clothes once again
Upon the radiator
What makes Britain great
Makes Manchester yet greater
Good poem but 'rain makes Britain Great'?
I thought England's fair and pleasant land always looks better on a sunny day, that's why I choose to live in the south east - I hate the rain!

It is a great poem (written by Mr Paul Heaton...who is my God)! And an even better song by the Beautiful South!!!
I loved London! But I didn't get to make it up to Manchester.... :(
Bikerchic, next time we're in either Mazatlan Mex or go to the Big Island I'll look for Hard Rock shot glasses for you.
I have a collection of amerindian and mexican indiginos peoples - pottery, including minature Acoma pots, NW baskets, and Huichol beaded coconut bowls and a colourful threaded tile. Along with some Hawaiiana - baskets and art, and other Polynesian art.
is no where that can touch good old London Town!
COBBLERS!
