So, when is the 'Big Announcement' supposed to occur? Anyone have the specific date?
And how could they do this without the elder's knowing what is coming? Some sort of 'sealed' announcement? I suspect that would 'leak' also. Besides the elders on this forum have seen nothing like that.

They would send letters informing the elders a week or two ahead of time, but not this far in advance.
Also, those pesky publishers have already been warned that 'mumurings' are unnacceptable and goes against their pledge of loyalty to the bOrg.

Ok - but how far in advance are we. I have seen a date somewhere that was in the first half of September I think. That is within two weeks soon.

I should imagine, a dramatic change such as expecting cash up front from the pubs is going to annoy the Elders as much as any one else.
JWs don't like to part with money especially when they've been used to their literature 'apparantly' being free.

The speculation is When and What; I have heard September/October, but then again, those months are historically important months to the Society, as it is the begining of the service year, and also there is that stupid thing about everything happening on the 5/6th of October. I wouldn't put much stock in when any announcement is going to be made, much less what.

Ok. I thought that the date was known by some on a previous thread - perhaps that was just part of the speculation.
You're right about the October fear that they work on hard to contrive in the pubs. I remember one sister I used to pioneer with who said that every year she could hardly sleep on the eve of October 4, due to thinking that A was coming on 4/5. I still think all this is to create fear that leads to WT activity, that falsely props up the numbers for the service year.

It's all about "keeping in expectation"!
So in a way, we are being controlled also. We are also in expectation of the "Big announcement", just like all the JW's
Whatever they do it will bite them in the butt. It's as if the borg is on a chess board and any move they make it will cost them pawns or more
