No fair leaving us hanging! I am more than curious to find out why and how you left after being a pioneer for over 25 years. Thank you for sharing your story and a big WELCOME.

Trev has taken Marion home now, but she will be back here tomorrow to post the rest of her story on this thread. I was in floods of tears at some of it this afternoon when we were putting it on word, and I can asure you, it is well worth reading.
She has hidden talents as a writer, I think, far more so than me. I am going to fetch her around lunchtime, so look out for the rest of her story sometime in the afternoon.
love

Hello Marion,
It is lovely to meet you. Thank you for relating your story - you have a gift for it! I look forward to hearing more.
I was born not too far from your area in Newark, Nottinghamshire. We left there when I was 9 in 1980.

Hello Marion,
Great story, well worth writing. I lived in Derby during the war Grove Mansions in Burton Road. My Aunt taught music at Parkfield Cedars.
I have been struggling with the same problems since my wife became a JW in 1952.
Just remember you have more friends outside than inside.
Best wishes

Oooooh, great story telling, but you have me on tenderhooks. What happened in the seventies?

Marion,
You write beautifully. I don't usually enjoy long posts - but I hung on every word of yours. Well done!
I am most impressed with your younger son!! To see through the nonesense at such a young age shows incredible perception - and isn't it strange how he, the non-JW, is kinder than the JW!!
Looking forward to Part III.
Love and hugs,
Ian

I agree with you - not hiding them very well though is she!
Linda, Trev and Marion - you seem such nice people and I am so glad you are there to support each other.
Marion - how has your younger son reacted to your DAing? Or am I jumpign ahead to part 3 now!
And I loved your childhood memories of yoru great aunt and then the howling drain pipes. I too am old enough to remember being in a hall where the music was played on the piano as we didnt have the equipment for the records or cassettes!
