  To all who have responded...thank you, for it is much appreciated.
  For FrightMare, I WAS in a screwed up congregation...as well as all the others I've been to. I've lived in MI and also across the Country in AZ, and they are all the same. They all have their problems-yes, but certainly shouldn't to the extent that they do. My parents actually made us move out of the cong we were in b/c too many were "falling out" and not attending.
  Now, I'm not just turning my back on the religion, but I AM questioning it and wanting to find out what I believe is "the Truth" It has been especially difficult for me when my own parents give up on me and call me a liar for the things that I told them that had happened in my life. I'm trying to find somewhere in my heart to forgive them, and also the people in the congs in AZ, as well as in MI, who have stopped talking to me and started ridiculing.
  I can understand your defensiveness on the religion, b/c (still being a witness) I too get defensive at others' remarks, even though I have my own dislikes towards them.
  Please allow others to freely express their opinions and thoughts b/c I'm welcoming everyone's POV on this subject. If you haven't read my message on this board...it's on one of the pages...I titled it "inactive for 5 months...confused!" Please take the time out to read it to better understand the situation I'm in.
