How many times did we hear from the stage the analogy of the race and the runners just about to give up and then right around the corner was the finish line so the racers used the last bit of stored energy and made it through the finish line. I HATED when they used that. It was so robotic, didn;t they have the brains to come up with any kind of other analogy??

The ones that first heard this statement are so old now they wear diapers and can't hardly walk....let alone run.

I remember a talk about the organisation was the ARK. Just as Noah,s ark had a slippery substance surronding the boat so that those who did not get on the ark could NOT hang on to the Ark the Organisation also did not allow hangers on!!! You either GOT ON the ARK or drowned...Yes I am ashamed to say I conned my studdies to believe that !!!!!! Hopefully your not too upset about this, cos i found the highlighted parts hilarious, i actually laughed out loud granny

I distinctly remember being told, in a Kansas City ballpark, the end is around the corner... That was 1973. Since then, I have finished school, worked 30 years, raised children. I am starting to see retirement around the corner.
In all fairness, the speaker did say we might be walking along a long building to get to the corner.... but I am glad I live for today and tommorow....and really glad I never bought into the Doomsday mentality of the JW's while I was active.
