In 30 years I have never seen an apostate coming back. Once you realize it's not the truth,607/1914, not spirit directed, how in the world can you build the faith again and preach knowing it's nothing but a big joke,...................unless you do it for family reason.

Now why would anyone know someone is posting here? Are they posting here themselves? Are they on this site as a guest posing as a tattler?
Oh yes, the tattle mode, the biggest totem pole getter upper in the society. One other question, why would anybody after figuring out this is all bogus anyway trying to get reinstated?

My wife had a dream the other night that we realized that it was the "truth". No mistakes about it. So......we had to get dressed and go to the meeting. And, well we couldn't. Even though it was right [in the dream folks, only in the dream] we could not make ourselves go back and jump through all those hoops again!!!!
Good for us!
One year out and still going strong!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

JH asked: I just wanted to know if apostasy was an "unforgivable" sin for the Watchtower. So, basically, even Hitler could get re-instated, right?
Yes, according to the WTS, Hitler could easily be granted Dub status and eventually become an elder or even a CO. Hitler never questioned the GB's doctrines; he only murdered 6 million Jews, so that's not a problem.

I knew a brother, moved to my congregation in Vermont from NYC back in the 80s or earlier. I loved this guy. He refused to turn in time for years. He once told me, "I know how the brothers at Bethel write what they do, they're making their best guess, just like you and me."
I remember he told me how he went to a McDonald's one time for a break during field service, and one of the brothers with him began witnessing, like table to table. He pulled the brother aside and told him, "Don't you ever do that again!"
He moved to another congregation in New Hampshire, a bigger one, so he could be less conspicious. By god if he didn't eventually become an elder! I remember him giving a talk after that in my congregation, and he actually said, "You all used to figure I was an apostate" - from the platform! You could hear the collective gasp from the audience. He was great, and as far as I know, still a JW.
Les, if you read these posts, you are the man! How can you still stay in the org?? Bless your angry, honest Puerto Rican soul, my brother.

In my case it was impossible. I made a stab at reinstatement about two years after by DF'ing because my Grandfather was fading fast and (I thought) I was prepared to do what ever it took to "con" the bastards into it. I went to one meeting before the elders. I had done such a good job of ripping the org. and its doctrines 2 years before that they were VERY wary. Some of them were actually smirking when I was saying my little repentance speech (I guess I'm not a very good actor). By the end of the meeting I realized that I would have to eat WT shit for at least a year before they would even consider a reinstatement. As it turned out, Grandpa didn't last a year but I was able to have a brief visit with him before he passed.

According to the WTS, the unforgivable sin is really quite simple: It is any sin that you don't repent over.
