I don't understand how the WT can ignore thousands of people with Doctorate degrees when their educational resources are so shamefully lacking.

How true indeed! I was reading my copy of the new Awake mag on Evolution and it was discussing the belief that all the animal life pretty much spontaneously arrived at the same time- according to the fossil record as they see it. The said at the bottom of page 16:

'Many researchers agree that the vast and detailed record shows that all major groups of animals appeared suddenly and remained virtually unchanged--"

Not!! --Just what is a researcher? Could it not be the individuals in the writing department who wrote this article? Obviously, they weren't scientists who are qualified to teach or write papers in this field. And just how many is many? -is 3 people many? is 3 out of 10,000 who disagree with the WT viewpoint, still many? The most revealing thing about this September Awake is the lack of documented references at the end of the story. The two brothers who gave me this magazine were obviously very much sold on the WT ideas presented inside.

Moshe: Thanks for pointing that out, arrogance has always been at the core of their writing. They say they can't tell a lie, but how can you tell if they're telling the truth? Simple, because they say so.

Well I never bought it. Anybody who passes fourth grade can ask where are their sources, and even though they never give any, or those they give are bogus, there are still many who buy it! So please people, get an education, so sick cults like this can't think for you!

By the way, I showed that Awake to my English professor and asked her if I had written this, what grade would I get? She said not only would I get a ZERO, I would be cited for plagerism, which I already knew. In the real world, people don't tolerate crap literature like this!

If by "all major groups of animals" you have in mind major species, genera, and taxonomic families, you are correct in saying they did not appear at the same time. However, I think the WT meant (or is referring to a source that meant) higher level taxonomic groups, specifically phyla. A number of evolutionist science books say that all of the major phyla of animals appeared in the Cambrian Period. An online source at https://burgess-shale.rom.on.ca/en/science/origin/04-cambrian-explosion.php says regarding the Cambrian Period explosion that "The explosion is particularly remarkable because all major animal body plans (each more or less corresponding to a distinctive Phylum - Mollusca and Chordata, for example) appeared during this time, changing the biosphere forever. " https://www.livescience.com/28098-cambrian-period.html says regarding the Cambrian "It is clear that representatives of every animal phylum, excepting only the Bryozoa, existed by this time."
