as well as 9/11 victims, i'm also going take a moment to reflect on over 100,000 deaths in iraq since the illegal invasion. god bless

Pleasuredome, certainly that is sad too. I am not a Bush supporter and I felt then as I do now, taking war to Iraq was not wise.
On this thread, let's keep the talk about politics and illegal invasions to a minimum. I hope to keep thread just as a memorial of a terrible day, five years ago.

There was a pic in the papers today of children who were not yet born when their fathers got murdered five years ago.
I have to say it really put a lump in my throat. That kid will always remind its mother of the man she lost.
Despite everything, the world is still a beautiful place to be in. We owe it to those who died to enjoy life. I think they would want that.

The magnitude of this day and the repercussions are more enormious than I think we still fully do not comprehend
My heart and mind still aches remembering this day. I was not affected with a personal family tragedy.
I can't imagine what these families are still enduring.
Also, the injured, the people that are forever scarred physically, I think of them.
