I had heard about some elders doing this, but they were usually stories that Brother Tongue told Sister Ear about Brother Doubting Elder in some remote town doing this. I am not saying that they have never happened, I am just saying that the ones I heard about were out of the rumor mill, and highly questionable.

I for one am impressed by how LT conducted himself and how his talk had nothing but love for his friends and sadness for how an organization could be so hurtful. I admire the courage it took to do such a thing and I certainly do not think he was on an "ego trip". In fact I recall telling him I admired him for what he did and he said he wasn't sure he deserved such admiration that doesn't sound like the work of an egoist to me. Cheers LT!
