Doesn't it make you just want to go back for more. I only got to go for one day, as MS's only have to suffer a little less. I had a heck of a time staying awake. A cramped room and stale air sure didn't help. Eating box lunches in a suitcoat & tie were fun too.

I clearly recall one newby at the meeting with the co for elders. A fake judicial was being used to train us. This one elder had a look on his face of enjoyment as he yelled out " well we could get her this way" and proceeded to describe a plot or decoy to ( get her ) with no other concept in his mind or his words.
You guys actually practiced being on Judicial Committies?
This is shocking but not surprising.
Did you guys compare notes on the best shunning techniques as well?
Forgive me, but practicing judicial committies upsets me.
Not really...but it did get to my head because I was young and to be recognized in that way and sit with men twice my age and make decisions was a head trip in itself. As I got older and still very JW I thought that Jah appointed me to care for the poor sheep that were being mistreated and so forth... then I realized it wasnt just in my cong but the whole org. people were suffering due to trying to live up to a standard that is near impossible. Then I started having doubts and began to realize that the whole elder arrangement is a sham.
My dad was appointed in the 70's when they started that body of elder?s thing and of all of them I only remember one that was humble. Most of them were buddies and it was no surprise when they became elders together. My dad did swell up a bit but I do remember he tried to contain his...swollenness.
Thankyou all for your comments, and from them i draw the conclusion that there def is NOT any ` J`s spirit` in that org. I asked an ex elder the same question, and he told me that he was d/f and when he asked to be reinstated, they allowed him to be, and he was living with a woman, which proved to him there was none either. Elsewhere, i didn`t realise that it had that affect on them! Scarey! Darth- what does `side pieces` mean? Amazing- it was very interesting to hear that you were both an elder and `anointed` and still didn`t feel any different.
