Not being one to watch Oprah, I am curious about how she is painting these things that violate children.
Sympathetic or as the sub-human debris they are

She interviewed one woman who found out her husband was a pedophile. Then she had an FBI agent who helped infiltrate NAMBLA and helped in the capture of her husband and many other pedophiles. And a reporter from Dateline that has helped capture some of these guys.

The audience was silent through the whole thing. As someone above stated the show was about what pedophiles don't want us to know or teach our children. She was not sympathetic at all. And I can't imagine her being sympatheic. She is too much about protecting children

Oprah's ending was that over the next 5 years she will be working to change the laws that let these men out to find more children to abuse.

As for NAMBLA thie motto in the past has been "Sex before 8 or its too late." And that's 8 yrs old not time of the day. They claim that children naturally are sexual beings and should have the legal right to choose their sexual partners and even if that includes adults. And they claim that it is the rest of society that has made children afraid of sex (which I assume is why they have to seduce and manipulate them).

Legally they claim they only are a group who wants the laws changed and would never encourage anyone to break the law. However members will often share ideas about how to seduce a child, offer travel tips about places in the world to get access to children and share child pornography

One point that was made is that the internet has created an explosion of pedophilia.Before the network was smaller but they now have a world-wide network of connections to continue to stalk their prey

For a while, I was a part of discussion board that had a couple of pedophiles posting. The sheer shamelessness about their crimes staggered me. I engaged one of them in a rather forceful discussion about the impact of his raping of children. Honestly it was very much like trying to talk to an active Witness. The same dynamic of denial and superiority were in play. He absolutely refused to consider the possibility that children don't want to have sex. He worked at a daycare facility and he, like the creep you posted about LL, talked about his "love" of children.

I remember you once posted something about the False Memory Foundation, and somewhere in all that was a quote from a pedophile "expert" (don't remember his title now) who stated that boys (irregardless of the age) were "easily stimulated" and "inherently erotic".

In the 80s, when I was in therapy, the phrase was "If you wait till 8, it's too late". My therapist told me that one.

As I understand NAMBLA, they try to latch on to the gay rights movement since they consider themselves "homosexual" but they prefer "intergenerational love" to child-rape.

I cannot imagine trying that Chris. My blood pressure would be through the roof. They really don't think they have done anything damaging to the child. You mentioned this and it reminded me of when I confronted my fater. No aoplogy. Not even a justification. Just "If you think I'm going to apologize, you're crazy" In his mind it was no big deal and he couldn't figure out why I was upset.

A couple of my clients arranged for a confrontation with their fathers. One father said his daughter seduced him so she was 50% to blame. The other father refused to admit in front of his wife and daughter how far the abuse went and the mother refused to even acknowledge the bits he did admit to.

And you are right: the same kind of denial and rewriting of history goes on with these abusers.

I've heard several versions of it but it all gives them permission to assault a child while they twist in their heads the child wanted it and no harm was done

Well they try. The gay community gets its back up about the attempt. They see the huge difference between consenting adults and a child's inability to understand what the pedophile thinks they are consenting to. It is far too easy to justify evil and its manifestations on innocent children. One of the things we know about sexual abusers is that many were abused themselves. (That doesn't mean they all become abusers - for any who think that). In their warped minds I think that if what was done to them was stimulating, they make confuse the good physical feelings with wanting the sexual contact. But they are still in victim mode just taking the other role and becoming the adult. And if as a child they were told they wanted it then it would be so easy to stay in the thinking. But whatever mindset/justifications they come to they still know it is wrong anf illegal. They still know they have to develop enough trust in the child so they can take advantage of the situation they have set up to manipulate and abuse a child. I will be anxious to see what Oprah is going to do about this over the next few years to change the laws. She is a rich and powerful woman and has the media at her disposal to get the job done.

I didn't watch the program. I would like to of seen it though someone asked about Oprah's reaction she has had shows where she pays rewards to people turning in pedophiles that are on the run.

The NAMBLA sickies are also saying since homosexuality was once considered so taboo and is now an accepted part of our culture, it's just a matter of time before they will be too. What an insult to homosexual's How these vile forms of humanity can even get away with being alive is beyond me.

If you have ever said "I would do this or that to a pedophile" and you wonder what that threat would look like! watch a movie just out called "Hard Candy" it is very graphic. but very satisfying in a cathartic kinda way.

Legal corporations must have a couple of things a Mandate and ByLaws. These two things determine the reason for the organization (what they stand for) and how they will implement the mandate.

NAMBLA gets off because no where in their mandate or by-laws do they encourage the practice of adult-child sexuat encounters. So as a legal corporation they stay legal.

The problem arises when the members of the group go beyond the mandate of the legal group and use the contacts within the group to carry on their illegal activities.

NAMBLA will say they have nothing to do with what the members practice in their private lives. Hence they can remain an untouchable legal corporation.
