Thanks for sharing your story Uncle Penn. That was really good of you to try and get him out of the Borg. Your a noble human being.

I would like to make a suggestion should you decide to do this again. Go much more slowly. Try not to hit a person with such explosive information from the get-go. Try developing more of a relationship with the person before showing the real "Truth". Wait until you have about 6 study sessions under your belt with them, then show them the info. I think they'd be less likely to run. Just my 2 cents.

Ray, how do I do this? Do I pretend for weeks that I am interested and then turn on him? I feel bad if I am deceiving someone. Please share more with me. Any suggestions would be welcome!

what books exactly have these obvious lies in them it seems that since I have been studying i have recieved a billion books too many to even read

The lies are in every book. They pile the books on you so you'll be too busy to think about the decision you're making.

Just remember that King Solomon said "To the making of many books there is no end."

The truth isn't in those books. It's in your heart.

I had a conversation with a very close, special friend recently. I ended up listening to lots of stuff that seemed like a big lecture but since I knew I was getting ousted I decided I had to speak. It didn't go well. The best I can hope for is that I planted some seeds to mull over. Now, I'm just going to go off and feel like crap for losing my best friend.

Tattoogirl, the books I shared with him were > Studies in the Scriptures (where CT Russell explains using pyramidology how he came to the date 1914) Then I showed him how in 1956 the WT magazine said that people who are involved with pyramids are from false religion. Then I showed him the book by the WT called Revelation (which commends CT Russell for uncovering the date 1914....<where he used these pyramids>) Then a book called Enemies where Rutherford says that if you don't believe in the date 1918 you are against God. Then he started to run.

But yes, the lies are in every book.

Bravo. I was just wondering if they were the actual books, or photocopies that you used.

I did this same thing with my family before i was dfd. It didn't work either, at least not yet.

that's the other thing, I think that photocopies are automatically out. Don't ask me why, but they see them and "uh oh"!
