Yes, but what footage they gain in the movement toward peace, they take 2 steps back in the unity of family for their stance on shunning.
    the math:
6 million x 2 steps backwards = 12 million feet behind the lines of peace.
If one cannot have peace in ones household how can one have peace in the world???

No idea, that's along the lines of what I was thinking: they cry "peace, peace, when there is no peace" not in their peoples' hearts, nor their households, nor in the way they deal with those who question. Rampant depression, neuroses, eating disorders abound within the confines and indicate that internal peace (which is NECESSARY) for external peace is just not there.
Rome was able to ENFORCE peace among it's conquered people for many many years, but at what cost? Just because you can subjugate a people with fear into telling you what you want to hear, and making them act a certain way, does not mean you've accomplished peace.
As for the original question: Mr. Elder, just because a people sit back and do nothing, does not maek them a MOVEMENT. In fact, quite the opposite. Go do a little research and find out what REAL peace MOVEMENTS are DOING. Get it? Movement, implies action--and that DOES NOT INCLUDE selling silly magazines, that when it's all said and done, herald the death of 6 BILLION people. See pics from literature depicting Armageddon with jubilant JW survivors. See posts from WOL and reports from those still in, to find how this rhetoric makes people feel about human life. That's not a peace movement. They do a LOT to foment hate--it's pretty harmless, because they're waiting for god to do it, but boy, when he DOES, will they be happy! That's not a peaceful people. There's so much impotent rage and hate that many, just need the word and they would take god's work of killing up themselves. I don't think that will actually happen, because in the end, they are a corporation, a business, the AMWAY of religions, interested only in staying fiscally afloat. Killing people would be bad for business.
I used to have a lot of respect for the JW's if, for nothing else, their "stand" to Nazi's in WWII. Then they had to come clean about their antisemitic comments to the Nazi's in order to be able to play both sides. I read it in an Awake--boy was it an awakening. It had, of course been "cleaned up". But the thoughts were there, adn prompted me to do more research.
