What do the JW's believe makes people saved? What is wrong with the non-Jehovah's witness's life that makes them need salvation?
What constitutes a JW salvation and why?

Someone will come on with a WT quote. Until then, I will wing it.
JW's believe that salvation is deliverance from destruction, especially at Armageddon or at one's own death.
Salvation is a gift from God that cannot be earned (according to the Bible and doctrine, but not reality- READ ON).To get salvation, one must obey God until death or destruction at Armageddon.
Obedience includes preaching/converting work- You must warn the wicked that they will be destroyed
if they don't change. -

The Battle of Armageddon will be likewise a physical catastrophe to this present evil world, and not something just spiritual. The ark of salvation that we enter is not a literal ark but is God’s organization;

18 We can expect a similar expansion of our preaching activity now, at this climax of the ages. No doubt, before the "great tribulation" is finished, we will see the greatest witness to God’s name and kingdom in the history of this world. And while now the witness yet includes the invitation to come to Jehovah’s organization for salvation...
*** w83 2/15 12-13 You Can Live Forever in Paradise on Earth-But How? ***
A third requirement is that we beassociatedwithGod’schannel, his organization. God has always used an organization. For example, only those in the ark in Noah’s day survived the Flood, and only those associated with the Christian congregation in the first century had God’s favor. (Acts 4:12) Similarly, Jehovah is using only one organization today to accomplish his will. To receive everlasting life in the earthly Paradise we must identify that organization and serve God as part of it.
*** w90 11/1 26 Our Relative Subjection to the Superior Authorities ***
We cannot take part in any modern version of idolatry—be it worshipful gestures toward an image or symbol or the imputing of salvation to a person or an organization. (OOPS! Where did this come from???)
*** w93 9/15 22 They Compassionately Shepherd the Little Sheep ***
But if we were to draw away from Jehovah’s organization, there would be no place else to go for salvation and true joy.
I hope this posts OK. I've never tried the "copy" "Paste" from Word to here???

The main criteria is to belong to the Organization. It does not matter how good you are in every other aspect of life, this is one of the critcal criteria.
Watchtower 1989 September 1 p.19 “Only Jehovah’s Witnesses, those of the anointed remnant and the “great crowd,” as a united organization under the protection of the Supreme Organizer, have any Scriptural hope of surviving the impending end of this doomed system dominated by Satan the Devil.”
Watchtower 1983 February 15 p.12 “Similarly, Jehovah is using only one organization today to accomplish his will. To receive everlasting life in the earthly Paradise we must identify that organization and serve God as part of it.”
Other criteria relate very much to works - being a publisher and not doing any of the forbidden sins.
Finally there needs to be faith in God, but that can only help if all the above are being held to
There is a list of quotes showing who won't be saved at http://jwfacts.com/index_files/salvation.htm , ie, anyone not a JW

The Watchtower Society says that taking in spiritual food, ie, knowledge of Jehovah and Jesus and their kingdom through the faithful and discreet slave is vital to salvation - John 17:3..the JW mantra. Hence you must not forsake going to all the meetings so you can take in that knowledge. You must also report field service time or you will be bloodguilty when the big A arrives. The world at large is guilty of community bloodguilt and are doomed to die, and if you do not warn them they will die you are also bloodguilty and will die. If by the time Armageddon comes you're found slacking in the JW works programme, the chances are you will be slaughtered by a God of love (I love you - I'll kill you) and will be non-existent for all eternity, along with 99% of the rest of mankind. So, in a nutshell, JW salvation depends on obediently performing the organisational works agenda set by the WTS leadership.

They never get a real one... that's why they are so obstinate and edgy; because deep down they have no peace whatsoever.
The salvation (like yadda touched on) that they do believe and preach is kind of a conditional salvation in the present linked to their diligence to "keep taking in knowledge". They make John 17: 3 the all encompassing criteria for salvation, and completely stop up their ears and cover their eyes to the dozens of scriptures that proclaim coming to Christ as the means of salvation.
Since the Watchtower controls the "knowledge" that must be taken in according to John 17: 3, salvation is inextricably linked with the taking in and acceptance of Watchtower interpretations (knowledge) in their literature as opposed to the bible and common interpretations no matter how clear.
What constitutes a JW salvation? Whatever the WT currently says constitutes it.

What is wrong with the non-Jehovah's witness's life that makes them need salvation?
You sound quite young and that's OK. As you get older you'll start to see the inability of people to treat others as they would like to be treated. You'll even see your own inability to live up to your own standards unless you decide that it is better to not have any, which is common. You'll reach a point where you'll understand that your existance is limited and has an end to it.
Salvation addresses all of these concerns and many more.

I would like to see scripture that supports the doctrine that God only uses the watchtower organization. Where in scriptures did the watchtower organization recieve the authority to judge salvation. And by the way, how to JW's know they are saved?

I never see in scripture the command to make converts...only to make disciples. We cannot confuse the two!
By the way, the scriptures say that salvation is a gift of God, not of works.

I would like to see scripture that supports the doctrine that God only uses the watchtower organization.
The #1 scripture used is Matthew 24:45. They teach that Watchtower leadership is the 'Faithful Slave' and that based upon Bible chronology Jesus inspected this class (the Watchtower) in 1919 and appointed them over all his belongings (true Christians).
The main reason they are able to get away with saying that an invisible Jesus chose them in 1919 is because this is not the first thing they will teach you. When converting a new member much time is spent of making you feel impressed with their 'knowledge of the Bible'. You learning their interpretation of scripture and get the feeling that these people just 'follow the Bible'. Eventually they will try to convince you they are the only ones doing this. Many will agree the evidence appears that they are the only ones who teach truth (like rejection of the trinity, no hellfire, no immortality of the soul, not going to war, celebrating holidays). Once an individual believes that these are true teachings from the Bible that they can only find in Watchtower publications their mind is ripe for all kinds of other doctrines someone would reject if they where told the outright.
I didn't start realize how much importance they placed on their organziation at least 6 months after I got baptized. I allways thought they put a little to much emphasis on the organization, but never realized how much it was untill I wall allready 'in'. At that point it's very difficult to challenge their authority.
