I left before the internet but I can see how forums like this can very quickly clear things up on outstanding issues. Otherwise questions can linger on for many years. Nonetheless I managed to find some books back then that basically proved the deceitful nature of this org.

I ve been out for 14 years this month, but I did not know about this board until I discovered it on 2/16/06. I am very addicted to coming here, sometimes I have to say no!
Yet, I find that I know more about the religion I was apart of since I have come to the board, from all the people that post here. Its just more of a confirmation I made the right decision 14 years ago because as I have said in other posts, I left the org mainly because of my parents, I could not take it anymore not so much because of the beliefs. But, since I have done so much of my own research over the years, I know the JW faith is not the truth.
I have become an agnostic, and I m fine with it. This board just helped me learn more and more and I am not only talking of tragic stories, just knowledge period.
