I have dreams about the JWs all the time.

In some I'm with old JW friends, and some are either scolding me, or telling me how much they admire me for leaving. It's very odd. I'll have these conversations with old JW mates about my leaving and why. Sometimes it's these real hardliners who have the best attitude about what I've done!

Other dreams, I'm expected to give a district convention talk, or say the prayer, only I know I don't believe any of it and wonder how in hell I got myself back into this situation!

One I had a little while ago was that a field service group had to give me a ride and drop me off because my ex-wife, still a JW, had to use the car we still own together. I had an interesting conversation in the car group in that dream!

So, yes, still VERY strong subconscious connections to the WTS and my Witness experience.

It's funny. Only recently do I remember such dreams. Most of my dreams are of a different kind.

No I never had any dreams where I saw myself as a JW but occasionally I dream of being with JWs in the latest one I was saying to an elder: you see I told you the end would not come even by the year 2000.

Up till recently I was having nightmares
and dreamscapes concerning the organization.

I believe subconciously that I missed it in
some way, shape, or form.

After a recent thread dealing with former individuals
associated with the organization and what happened to
them personally, I believe my dreams and nightmares will
go away.

When I was a little boy, I dreamed that one day I'd be a Jehovah's Witness.

When I was a kid, I'd have nightmares about rushing to the meeting and realizing I was sitting there naked. Every meeting was a mad rush to get to. It was a stress overload. The whole trip was a stress overload.

The closest to my dream I ever did was once I got to the meeting and I was still wearing my ratty bedroom slippers. I was probably 13. I thought God was going to strike me dead right then and there.

In my dreams I get to talk to my old JW friends. :( I miss them a lot. It wasnt their fault the shit hit the fan in my head. But they did what they had to do and even getting to see them in brain synapses helps a bit. I dream that my house is still the place for the book study but they walk past me and dont speak to me or seem to "see" me. I have gone to the conventions in big auditoriums and stood in the food lines waiting for my hoagie and pudding...

And one time I dreamed I was going door to door and somebody opened fire on the group. I ducked into a doorway that was only about 6 inches deep and could literally feel the bullets as they went by my head and shoulder...my heart pounding out of my chest.

I can do without that extra stress.

I used to have dreams after I left of having to give a talk, and I wasnt prepared for it.So I had to wing it. That was stressful. I guess that would be a night mare
