    Thanks everyone for your suggestions

Trev seems more or less ok now, he's even had some food, but doesn't want anything alcoholic, at least not today. He said he stuck to beer, which he normally drinks when we go out, but just had too much. He doesn't drink that much anyway, and was out with more regular drinkers last night. He'll probably be fine tomorrow, and I doubt he'll do it again.

I'm not mad with him, but I'm not very sympathetic either.

That is prolly why it knocked him for a loop. He doesn't usually drink that much. Glad to hear he's feeling better.

Juni < a warm cup of tea for you both.

Thanks juni, tea is about the strongest thing he'll manage tonight. I have some shiraz, which I will have a glass of later. Trev bought me the shiraz as he was going out last night w/out me. It was a boys night out, and they went to a gig, some Led Zeppelin tribute band, then hit a few more pubs. Worst thing about it, potentially, is Trev quit smoking about 3 months ago, and was smoking when he got home, but he hardly remembers that, so hopefully he won't start again.

Those guys get together and they forget their head! Same thing happens over here.

You'd think they would've learned from their youth, hey?

You would think that. However, I must admit that the first time I went out with some work colleagues after I left the jws, I got drunk, and felt very ill for a few days afterward. I didn't live here then, it was last year, and Trev did come up to see if I was ok or needed anything. I haven't done that since, apart from being slightly tipsy at Christmas, and I was staying here then anyway, and I doubt he'll do it again. I doubt he wants another day like today anytime soon.

The only time I got plastered was when I lived in my apt. and a neighbor woman came over. We drank Smurf piss (vodka and blue raspberry Kool-Aid). I was crawling on the floor choosing from my large CD collection to play music.

I get silly and mushy when I'm drunk so we had a blast. We danced and sat on the balcony naming off actors whom we thought were hot. That was 4 years ago.

Was not sick at all; no headache; no nothing.

    Felt great!

Yes. One suggestion would be to follow the counsel in the bible about drunkeness. Another would be the same about smoking. Develope a desire to make Jehovah Happy and those things will disappear.

I know you mean well, but neither of us actually believe the bible nowadays, or in the existence of god, so Trev won't be doing that, he's feeling ok now anyway. We both spent too many years of our lives trying to please jehovah, we'd rather please ourselves now.

By the way, where is smoking mentioned in the bible?

Get a quart of one of the electrolyte-replacing sports drinks, like GATORAIDE, add an equal amount of water, (so you have 2 quarts total) and invite him to quaff deeply of the cup over the next few hours.Be careful not to overdose on the over-the-counter pain meds like ibuprofen.

Aha, a drinker. Gatorade(or powerade). is the best thing, also, saltines help a lot with the upset stomack. If I have a night of heavy drinking(much less infrequently, I'd like to add), I make sure to have gatorade by my bedside. Rehydrates better than water. This will only help avoid hangover, mind you. If you drank so much you're puking, all you can do is puke until you are done.

I agree with Clam A Bloody Mary also works well for me, and if it doesn't, how about an old fashion, that always seems ot do it for me, slip either one slowly and when you finish, walaa the hangover has hung it up and it gone, at least that has been my experience.
