Uh, hello, uh, well, I wanted to know how long it will be before the "Newbie" title comes off? I noticed that some others who have been here since 2004 still have the title "Newbie". How many years do you need before you move up?

Your "rank" is not related to how long you've been here, but by how many posts you've created.

Oh I see. So why is the bottom level called "newbie" if it has nothing to do with how long you have been here?

Once you make 100 posts you will be a junior member, then 250 posts = senior member, 500 = master member, 1000 = jedi, 2000 = emperor and 5000 = supreme one.

Oh, ok thanks. So really, a newbie could become a junior member in a matter of days then I suppose? I just saw the little display above this post that indicates how much more I am allowed to contribute at a time. This is neat.

I can "hear" Butters' voice when I read many of your posts.

Yeah, it took me about a fortnight. With 75 posts a day though, you could do it in 2 days easily. My boyfriend sometimes joles with me about how many posts, over 4100 in less than a year, I've made, compared to his 600+ in 15 months, but he's been out of the wts longer than me, and I really needed this board when I first left, and now I'm hooked lol.
Some stay newbies because they don't post often, and others. like me, post a lot, obviously!

I was hoping it would come through that way, uh yeah. Wow, at that rate, I will make it that far quickly as well.
