This only leads me to one conclusion. They are going to stop offering literature to the public in general. There's no profit anylonger in
giving away literature on a donation basis, so they will stop. They will become a regular publisher of books, magazines. They will pay the taxes from now on, after soaking JW's for the "cost of printing." They will be expected to BUY all field service related items and SELL them to the public, but small free pamphlets will not be available. If the public doesn't buy these items, then the rank and file will still have to do so.

Either that or it's just a silly rumor.

It's just a scare tactic to get them all on edge and think the end is coming around the corner. Unless of course, they are switching brands of toilet paper for their bathrooom? But I haven't heard anything about that yet.

Anyone remember Woody Allen's movie, Bananas? After the rebels overthrew the existing government, they made new rules. Everyone had to change their underwear three times a day and wear it on the outside, "so we can check!" And the official language in San Marcos "will now be Swedish!"

Don't know what made me think of that.....................

I hate to be a pedant, Bizzy, but residents of San Marcos were required to change their underwear every half hour:

Is it just me, or does it seem that every 10 days or so, a "newbie", with a different account and username, starts another thread about this so-called "big announcement", which as we all know, has turned out to be complete B.S. It would appear we are being played by the trolls....the pattern to these "big changes" and "big announcement" threads is just a little too consistent...

Elsewhere

I suspect any major change is one being forced upon them... specifically the fact that in California the courts ruled that Judicial Committees are NOT protected by Clergy Penitent Privilege. As a result I suspect the WTS will be making some changes to how "discipline" is administered in the congregations.
