Wisdom and folly

Not a JW experience here, but I did undergo a religious conversion. These days, I discard a doctrine if it doesn't "work". I've decided I'm not crazy, it was a crazy interpretation that screwed me up. So that's the practical side. But I'm not quite logical in my faith.

Because I have a BIG PROBLEM with "rational" or "pseudo-scientist" Christianity. I was not REASONED IN. My conversion felt much more like a rescue. There's something deep in my heart that bucks the trend. My brains and my background dictated my future (college, marriage, house in the 'burbs), but I needed MORE. I HAVE to have a higher purpose. Or shrivel up and die. So I found that higher purpose, even if it costs me. Mountains and northern lights and dew in the fields in early light still dazzle. They speak of the GREATER BEAUTY surrounding.

No, I take that back. It's all folly.
