    Hi all,

Here is a scan from the Studies of the Scriptures, where Russell is saying the Lord is reponsible for their content. I will post some of his crazy teachings about the Hoboken Ferry, and the Steam Engine and Railway supposedly being spoken of in the Bible book of Job. I know its BIZZARRE!!! But this is the history of the teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses that most don't know, but the ones at the Society do know about, they just don't want YOU to know about it!!

First Scan: Page 53 The special messenger to the last Age of the Church was Charles T. Russell, born February 16, 1852. He privately admitted his belief that he was chosen for his great work from before his birth.

Second Scan: pages 84, 85 ...."Job also describes the steam engine stationary, railway and marine. The following is a corrected translation of Job 40:15 to 41:34, with comments thereon from the pen of one of Pastor Russell's followers: "Behold now one with great heat (the stationary steam engine), which l have made to be with thee; he will consume fodder (peat, wood, coal) as do cattle. Behold now his strength is in his loins (boiler plates), and his power is within the parts bent in a circle (boiler shell) of his belly. His tail (smoke stack-opposite the feeding end) will set upright like a cedar; the couplings of his leaping parts (connecting rods, pitmans) will be clamped together. His bones are tubes of copper; his solid bones .....

BTW, don't take at face value the assertion that the Finished Mystery is "the posthumous work of Pastor Russell". Most of it is the insane drivel of Clayton Woodworth, who later edited the Golden Age.

It is no secret that CTR claimed to be himself the the F & D Slave, although he preferred for others to say so - but it was his own belief and the WT have acknowledged that openly , so I guess he would have claimed personal direction by the H/S.

Also he was moldering in his grave by the time the Finished mystery was produced.

Interestingly, the first scan rang a bell with me and it has repeatedly been quoted from in the Society's literature, no cover -up

"Seemingly by accident, one evening I dropped into a dusty, dingy hall, where I had heard religious services were held, to see if the handful who met there had anything more sensible to offer than the creeds of the great churches. There, for the first time, I heard something of the views of Second Adventists [Advent Christian Church], the preacher being Mr. Jonas Wendell . . . Thus, I confess indebtedness to Adventists as well as to other denominations. Though his Scripture exposition was not entirely clear, . . . it was sufficient, under God, to re-establish my wavering faith in the divine inspiration of the Bible, and to show that the records of the apostles and prophets are indissolubly linked. What I heard sent me to my Bible to study with more zeal and care than ever before, and I shall ever thank the Lord for that leading; for though Adventism helped me to no single truth, it did help me greatly in the unlearning of errors, and thus prepared me for the Truth."

I've come to the conclusion that these men suffered from dementia, the sad thing is that so many people followed them, well then look at how many people followed Hitler, Jim Jones, David Koresh and a host of other opportunistic bastards that just leach off the brethren. The need for certainty and direction in humans is so great, that any person that comes to them with a pretty story and says they are teaching the true gospel from the Bible can convince them and they will happily follow them and give them their money. I wonder how different the world would have been if that old storybook had never been created.

Sorry Lady, those quotes are not Russell's. They are Clayton Woodowrth's. Any direct quotes from Russell are referenced. I think about 25% of the book is actual Russell's comments and then taken out of context.

As to Russell's view of his being the FDS, yes, I personally believe he felt he was, he never stated it, although the Society claimed he did, there is no proof in print from Russell's own pen claiming he was. Of course some letters that appear in the Watch Tower of his day referred to Br. Russell as "That Servant." I guess, if he didn't believe he was, he would have edited it or made a comment.

HJowever that being said, he never made an issue of it. It wasn't a doctrine or neccessary for salvation to believe he was, he didn't chastise people for rejecting it.

    Dear RR,

Thank you for your comments. Even if that is true, it still doesn't change the fact that these men that were running God's supposed selected organization, and telling their own words, as being words from the Lord himself. They are still just as guilty. And it is still quite obvious that they have been misguiding ones from the onset.

    SIncerely,

    Lady LIberty

True LL, BUT, consider that any intentional misleadings began with the presidency of Judge Rutherford. It could have been fixed after he died in 1940, but Knorr and Frnz decided to continue the deceit.
