I always thought it was Rutherford that wrote all that nonsense and much else besides though Russell also produced a lot of heretical occultic writings eg the prophet of God that was the Great Pyramid of Egypt.

Clayton Woodworth was writing up a storm of insanity in Watchtower publications, which under any other circumstance could be taken as just an individual doing some crazy stuff that was left unchecked. BUT....
The JW can never eaisly push aside the words of that nutjob. Since his words made it into the Watchtower it means that it was part of 'Gods Channel'. Dosn't matter who said it or created it, the point is that it was in the Watchtower and when using this in showing JWs about their hidden past it can be a slam dunk.
God I love that rule of theirs about not worrying about who the writer for an article is because it is all 'Gods Channel'! -

I find it amazing that this is the sort of stuff they were publishing around the same time that Jesus is supposed to have been doing his inspection to see who he should entrust the work to.
