My experience as the lone JW in high school was the catalyzing factor in my ultimate departure from the JWs. It led to my determination that my child would not have the same miserable experience I had, and three years later I was out of the org.

It was a bitter/sweet time in my life.
Fun with the guys and got a long with everyone.
Hated all of the rules. Remember this was the 1960's! Got sent to the Principal because of wearing too short of a skirt and then mouthed off on top of it.
Got good grades, played on the volleyball team.
Skipped the Proms cause they were a waste of money and boring as all hell. Did do the "sock" hop stuff in junior high school. That was more fun.

Oh yeah! Keep in contact w/one old girlfriend from High School. Another one so happened to be in my old cong., but since I'm out we don't talk.
