What would you say is the main reason why people didn't listen to us?

Why should anybody listen to anybody else. People are bussy living their lives, they dont want to be weighed down with garbage. Maybe they dont listen to the witnesses because they arent lonely, they arent looking for anything we offer, which would be lies and falsehoods.

I confess, I was a converting machine. I had at least 8 students join the Borg under my tutelage. Three pioneers, an elder and a minsterial servant came from that crop. Oh how proud I was. I was saving lives left and right. What a turd.

update: one student has died, (was df'd at the time), one is inactive, two have discontinued pioneering and one remains and elder. The rest I lost track of when they moved.

Despite all my efforts, thankfully no one listened to me enough to come in. I did have one study progress as far as becoming an unbaptised publisher, but like most jws, he didn't like the ministry, and fell away.

I'm proud to say that I did manage to get one person out of the org last year though.

As for why the majority of people didn't listen to us, I suppose they had more sense than believe the bs we got duped into accepting.

Maybe because nobody wants to join up with a bunch of well-known weirdos? I'd say that would be the #1 reason.

"What would you say is the main reason why people didn't listen to us?"

Probably because we woke people up on weekends, droned scriptures to them like robotic crackpots, and offered them substandard religious literature to read.

Number of parakeet's converts -- 0. I was even less convincing than most.

On the outset: we are too different. Then, if they got past that and looked into it they found it was a difficult life to lead and they would have to give up to much to commit to it. Those who do come in are either weird and lonely to begin with or broken and looking to anything for an answer.

Because we acted like religious know-it-alls. Frankly, that's got to be a big turn off for lots of people.

    LOL !

They didn't listen to us because they were too busy living a normal life. Why join an outfit that everyone takes the piss out of?

I am sooooo glad now, that I never got a convert.

On them opening the doors I would have said "WATCHA COCK !!HOWS IT GOING?"I ave to do this knocking ya up for Jehovah."

Pity I didnt go back to my original talk. Instead of learning to speak like a lady.... Oh well now I have to feel guilty
