They don't announce people as "no longer one of JWs" in other congregations, just the one you last attended. Thus many JWs from other congregations don't know your status and err on the wrong side and ignore the person. Not an excuse just an explanation. I'm neither da'd nor df'd but get the cold shoulder once and awhile until I walk up to them and say hi, even shaking their hand. People ease up them and act more natural.

My question is, do THEY still go to the meetings? Or did I miss that point in your experience?
