Interesting post Terry - but I did not want a philosophical essay on magic and it's relationship to religion - just thought Blaine's magic was interesting.

Note how he keeps straightening out the left side of his shirt to make sure you don't see inside it? Kind of messes up the illusion for me.

Probably the most brailliant "smoke and mirrors" guy ever. I actually knew him growing up since the 3rd grade, (real name is David Bukalow), He was always into that kind of stuff, so I seriously doubt anything paranormal is really going on. But an f'%^n genius, yes.

Yes, I've seen him. We live in Las Vegas. My son is also a magician and he performs. I thought he was pretty cool until I asked my son how he did various tricks. It's really kind of stupid and yes they are all just illusions, but they still look pretty cool. He doesn't have any special powers and it's not magic they are just illusions and the hand is really quicker than the eye if you can divert the eyes attention etc.

I guess I could be the most gullible spectator in the audience and the magician's best friend! I am totally blown away with these illusions and have no idea of how they DO them....even after reading that link about Balducci's levitation!
A few weeks ago I watched Criss Angel walk clean off the top of a tall building....and (seemed) to walk around a few moments and walk back ON the building! Needless to say.....I AM impressed with the street magicians we see today!
