My parents were personal friends of Ray and Cynthia Franz.

Four, all in the same room at the same times, three of which are now dead. They did not glow in the dark, hum or anything. I was actually disappointed. One was so old, he seemed like someone I would expect to see in a old folks home.

I met Dan Sydlik, Carey Barber, John Barr, and Garret Losch when I was in Bethel. I've met Ted Jaracz and David Splane at assemblies. Sam Herd was our District Overseer many years ago.

My family reaches back to the Bible Student days, so I always met the visiting GB, even before there was a GB, just the board of directors.

Knorr, F. Franz, Groh, Gangas, Barr, Barry, Sydlik, Booth, Henschel, K. Klein, Poetzinger. Schroeder, Suiter, Swingle, Barber.

As my grandfather used to say, they put their pants on the same way he did, one leg at a time.

When we went back to visit Bethel when I was 13, I met Milton Henschel. I just remember my Dad being all aflutter with excitement when he walked into the lobby and then drug us all over to meet him. I don't think my Mom could have given two sh*ts, but my Dad thought it was fantastic. All I remember is that my feet were hurting from trapsing all around the holy land looking at guys making bibles.

Nathan Knorr, Grant Suiter, Raymond Franz, George Gangas, Carey Barber, and Lloyd Barry. I must say that Lloyd Barry really seemed like a normal fun loving guy with a great sense of humor Barber too was pretty down to earth. Knorr and Suiter were rather arrogant and self assuming. George Gangas seemed by far to be the most humble and seemed to sincerely believe everything he was preaching.

Yes, I met Albert Schroeder at my first assembly. One of the brothers from my hall who had been a bethelite acted like he was some kind of rock star when he asked me if I would like to meet him. He shook my hand and said " Do you believe this is the truth" of course I said yes, then he said something like " Then continue believing that it is the truth " and not to gve up. Thanks for the advice ASSHOLE. GUESS WHAT ? I GAVE UP.

Since I did some time in the Big House, I lived and worked with them all back in the 70's.....Dan Sidlik was a arrogant ass who cheated at softball, Freddy lived in his own world, and the funny thing is.....I really did like Ray Franz best! He always seemed to be troubled by something in his head, so I always felt a little sorry for him....I know better now. GYMBOB

I met George Gangas in 1985 when touring the Bethel library with a group. He did the "pose a question" bit with us. "What is the spiritual paradise?" It is the condition of the body of believers so far as they demonstrate the fruitage of the spirit among themselves." I knew it was bullshit then because I hadn't seen any spiritual paradise where I came from. Met Barber when I was guarding the stage at a DC in Reno in 1986. He was adled then.

Excuse the spellings errors, but Franz, Sydlik, Schroeder, Kline. Greenless, but I don't know if he was part of the gb.
