I have been there more often than I care to think about.
A couple of years ago someone sent me a very hopeful little paragraph.
I can't find it right now but it helped me alot.
Essentially it said that often times when we feel the most stressed and frustrated with life, we are right on the verge of a major personal growth. Embrace the changes and challenges with as much grace and dignity as you can and prepare to come through it all - a much stronger, mature, competent, well-rounded person.
Don't forget to breathe. Take two or three deep, deep breaths and exhale very s-l-o-w-l-y and completely. Repeat several times every day. (Someone I worked with scheduled time for just breathing/mediatation 10 minutes in the middle of every work day. Phones went to voicemail and he closed his and just breathed. 11:15am-11:25am every day.)
Lean on your friends to help you through. Maybe your parents or Dave can take the kids for an extra afternoon so you can indulge in something that you want. Or just a nap under a sunny window. Would your mom or sister make an extra pan of a favorite food? Then you can just heat it up without having all the prep time.
Another simple thing to feel better is to make a list of simple things that you truly love. Indulge yourself every day. Several times a day is better. (Spoonful of your favorite ice cream. Use a favorite dish or glass that you usually save for company. You and Sierra could paint each others fingernails!
You know we love you. (Maybe that helps just a little~~?)
