Might as well take the opportunity. I was a very active dub for 15 years, but there were things I could not reconcile. And when people can't reconcile things, eventually they drop out. The history of the world is about groups started because somebody was deeply offended and sought like-minded support. I am now a Bible Student and absolute supporter of Charles Russell, although I do not worship him. He was a teacher, not to elevated above his brothers as is the tendency among men. He is not infallible, but every dub or x-dub owe most of what they know to what he was commissioned to write. When he died and Rutherfraud took over, the Truth almost died with him and what went forth was counterfeit. The counterfeit tried to convince one and all that anybody that didn't go along with the new leadership just sort of vaporized. It's Satan's old tactic of if you don't think the thief exists you won't bother looking for him. Well, google Bible Students. I'm glad you have found whatever it is you have found. Each of us is entitled to believe as we see fit. But I MUST disagree that I "owe" anything to Charles Russell. He started this mess. That is why I was raised in a cult, molested for years, and have had my family ripped apart. And for that, I owe him? Maybe a swift, hard kick in the A$$!!!

I thought about becoming a Bible student but I just don't want to wear a beard with a top hat while praying in King James english. New light for the Bible Students is lit by Kerosene. Let's face it, the Photo drama is about the most accurate piece of Bible instruction known to man. Shouldn't you be sending out your news releases via telegraph? I would think if the admonition to "Marry only in the Lord" has been carried out by the Bible students, they should all have short fingers and malformed facial features. His truth keeps marching on.

With all due respect, I cannot nor could I ever reconcile other people claiming with absolute certainty to know "the truth" on one hand and then adding the "he is not infallible" clause. I read Russels interpretation line for line about Revelation in his own words. That was enough to convince me that his greatest attribute was a vivid imagination. I think most 12 year olds given the same assignment could do a better job.

How can you support a man that was just as wrong as the WTS. His end times predictions did not come true just like the WTS entimes predictions. What's the difference.

Read the forward to Volume 2. Unlike the WT today, the founder readily conceeded mistakes rather than trying to cover it over with new light.
