Hate to say it Scully but you'll never see the money so don't count on it for x-tra X-mas funds. The person you turned it into.... now they will have a better X-mas!
Just my opinnion, the money never goes back to whom it belongs regardless if it was the person who used the machine before you or the bank institution which spit out the X-tra cash. Somebody pockets it, you can bet on that.
If it was me I would have just smiled at the cash god and enjoyed my windfall.
wow and I was out that way today. Think I will try using those things although the last time I did I kept having to ask the lady how to do things and wound up with a lot of people behind me - hmmmmmmm

Good for you. I remember one time I went to the movie theater and the guy handed me back WAY more money than I needed. I never gave it back. Still bothers me every time I go past that box office...

Well done, Scully! Doesn't it feel great knowing you've done an honest thing! Claire handed in a walletful of cash about a month ago. She honestly thought it could have been drug money (the area is renowned for it and the money was plenty - the wallet was literally in the road). Claire went to the police station and through the information in the wallet, cheque cards and national insurance cards also inside, found out the wallet belonged to a young married man whose wife had just had a baby. So, they really needed the money.
