Hi Sparky,
I'll be thinking about you tomorrow morning... I stayed with my wife when she had the same procedure 3 years ago. She said it really wasn't too bad... not near as bad as the endometriosis cramping and 8 day periods! Plus, after a little experimentation she got her hormone balance dialed in and today is on NO Progesterone, in Fact, No "scripts" of any kind....
I bet she'd be happy to visit with you and share any input that might help.

True story:::::
We too have a humor switch that kicks in during any crisis... especially at hospitals! Somehow, we thought it would be funny to take the marker and draw directional arrows and little words of encouragement on the compression stockings on her inner thighs. Her OBGyn is a Very Sweet man and still comments on the chuckle they got in the surgery room.... He had to explain to the staff that she was a professional clown and that they were lucky that's all we did! In retrospect... I wish I would have taken a little red clown nose and some stick-on googly eyes, in with us.....

Yeah, get all the drugs you can. . .and if you start hallucinating-lay off the vicodin. That was one bad trip! My personal favorite drug in Fentanyl. Much nicer, happy drug induced state for me. (This is from someone who really can't handle Tylenol 3 without getting weird)

Get well! Enjoy your rest, and eat something really good as soon as they let you.

Tip from one who has been there: put a tv tray in front of you on the toilet, and a pillow on it. Then if you are super tired but need to be on the potty, just cross your arms and lay your head down. Did they give you the infamous, tongue in cheek brand "GoLytely"?
