    Jayhawk:

It seems they want to give the impression a person has a problem with immorality because people will not be CURIOUS and inquire.

They do not want people to know a person has a problem with the religion because then people would be curious and want to know what the problem was, etc.

They are more afraid of this than anything else!

You can be disfellowshipped for being disrespectful to elders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    You're kidding!

Surely there'd be very few JWs left if that was the case!

That's what happened to me i accused George mealy-mouth Ma***** of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses Rockland Massachusetts of being a liar and was purged for a "capital offense' they went to elaborate that for this "capital offense" i would have been stoned to death in ancient Israel (one of many lies from them)

This is the risk that they took, that since i was a born in 3rd gen JW that i would kiss ass and come back to be reinstated and so they would never be accountable for this blaspheme because i would forgive them.

Big bad mistake by them, instead my eyes were opened and here i am today.-Danny Haszard apostate warrior

Has ANYONE ever won an appeal??? Like EVER??

Does anyone remember the movie...I think it was Logans Run...where people get to be age 25 or 30 and had to be destroyed because nobody was allowed to be OLD in their world? Ones who "aged out" were given an "opportunity" to "Renew" though and they had to go into this stadium and fly up to the ceiling and somehow once they reached the pinnacle they could be renewed so they could be allowed to LIVE past the age of 25???? And all the people in the stadium were screaming and chanting "RENEW! RENEW! RENEW!!!" AND NO ONE EVER DID!! But they continued to keep the hope that this renewal process actually existed and actually worked and so kept subjecting themselves to TRYING to win their lives back....and the only way they could continue to live was to ESCAPE from that underground world....and that is what they did.

Welcome to the Witch Trial Bastards and Trollops Sucksiety.

Im so glad he walked out and kept his dignity. It was the fuck you heard around the world when he did that.

The amazing thing was that they then said they would disfellowship him anyway for ‘loose conduct’, based on showing disrespect to the elders, plus him having been spoken to about pornography a couple of years earlier.

This reminds me of some legal problems my son had a while back. He'd just been kicked out of his place the night before, and had spent the night on the street. Transit guards roughed him up some time that night. In the morning he went to the bank to withdraw his money (he'd lost his bank card). He asked someone at the counter if they were open yet, and they said "not yet". So he bundled himself on the floor and waited for it to open. The police were called. They demanded he show ID. He resisted. He got charged with loitering and assaulting a police officer.

The lawyer found errors in the arrest. He was not asked if he had a legitimate reason to be there. A police officer cannot just go up to someone on the street and demand ID, they need legitimate cause. There was no cause, so no legitimate loitering charge. Those charges had to be dropped. With no loitering charge, there's no "resisting arrest" or assault charge. All the charges had to go.

Yet these elders try to drum up a 'loose conduct' charge, when the accused was upset by their actions? Kangaroo court, indeed. Who holds these men to account for their judgements? I'd much rather put my trust in the "worldly" courts, where everything is out in the open.

they failed to appreciate that genuine repentance cannot possibly include being sorry for the things that you did not do.

I have known several cases where the person was disfellowshipped for something they did not do. Because the elders perceived that they did not humbly submit during the trial they have an extra difficult time getting back in. Where is the holy spirit in all of this?

I am really surprised the elders have not been punched in some of these situations. Does anyone know of any violent judicial commiteee meetings?

    Opening Prayer

    K: If we could...

I just noticed that you left out the prayer. If you don't want to put it here, at least put it in the humor forum.

Holy ****! Sorry, I get the shakes any time I'm reading or listening to a JC, they're so creepy.

Is your friend okay? And his wife? Thinking of them...

" No, I’m sorry. I really don’t mean to be disrespectful, but I really honestly feel that this is designed to purely get me out and not designed to try to help me."

And THIS my friends, is the bottom line. My JC was just an opportunity to punish and NOT to help. When I was at my JC and for a day or two after I was 100% receptive to any help they may have offered, in fact really looking for that help. When I quickly realized that they weren't trying to help me that really pushed me away. Then the doubts I'd been pushing away for many years surfaced and I started to research them.

Here I am now. I see where the JW brand of help led me and for that, I am truly greatful.
