Isaiah 44:6

John 1:1

In [the] beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god.

Jehovah said there is no other God but him in Isaiah. How can Jesus be a "God"?

Dub is short for "Jay Dub-ble-yew" which is how ones pronounces the letters JW .....

So a dub is a Witness, plain and simple.

Have you compared Isaiah 44:6 to John 1:1 and Revelation 1:17-18?

every JW has said something like this or thought of this, so yeh there is hope. also remember, the ones with their guard up like this sometimes have doubts which they fear to express.

You could start by pointing out to him to contradiction of his own statement. Keep looking for it, but only in the one place??? Ask him what he would think of a Catholic that claimed they were searching for truth, but refused to look at anything other than Catholic material. Or a Mormon that refused to consider any information written against their religion.

Virtually every JW has said that as that is what the GB tells them to do, but over 1 million have left in the last 10 years, so there is some hope. Sadly it often takes many years to happen.

Please tell me there is any hope! Is there anyone out there who has ever said these words before and meant them, that is now come to see the TRUTH?

I work with juveniles who have displayed anti-social behavior, criminals loocked up in detention, jail. Behavior comes from within. A person would have to enlighten another person to the fruits or outcome of their behavior to cause them to want to change their behavior. Religious beliefs can be very vauge and ambiguous so your dealing with an intangible concept and trying to show one the undesirable effects of such behavior. Thats your challenge. Having said that, they say there are more than one way to skin a cat.

To help you visualize a possible approach to dealing with your husband take a sheet of paper and make 2 collums. Collum 1 advantages of being a Jw. Collum 2 advantages of not being a jw. When up put that info on paper then you will have something to work with. If you decide to present or share the info with him, he can decide at any given time whether to continue his offending, to you, behavior.

Also if you decide not to fight that battle you can take a sheet of papper and make 2 collums and write collum 1 possible outcomes to tolerating my husband being a jw. Collum 2 possible outcomes to not tolerating my husband being a jw. Once again you will have more data and information to process and you can decide to act on it or not.
