    Just kill them with kindness and do it front of the nurses. Be your normal, loving self towards your mom.

    While I was never self-righteous, I was definitely dense for too long.

    The WTS does not have a lock on self-righteousness. It takes an emotionally healthy person to be able to feel good about themselves without degrading someone else.

    They both got out of the hospital this week. Regarding my aunt, she's the one that told my mom not to accept anything from me or my ex for fear of contracting demonism. So, needless to say, I'd be apprehensive to visit her and have her get sick or die because I'd get blamed.

    Min, I'm sorry you've had such an awful time of it lately. I hope your mom is doing much better? Never mind your aunt, the witnesses' true colors always seem to shine right through, in the way they treat unbelieving relatives.

    The nurses where I work, couldn't believe the difference between me, and a few of my JW relatives..they are so negative, demanding, unkind, loud-mouthed, that when they entered the nursing home to see my Grammy, the nurses would run in the opposite direction. Literally.

    I try to keep a policy of not hanging out with jws...so far it's working.

    That's what I was going to offer here minimus.....I know with your Mother the situation is different and you would go against your decent good son reputation if you avoid your Mother, but you might want to make limited contact and never bring up JW stuff with her, period.

    As far as the Aunt goes, well she made her self righteous bed let her sleep in it and don't worry about what others think of you, remember guilt indicates you've done something wrong. You aren't wrong in your thinking, just different from them!

    Uhmmmm time to get to your happy place and breathe! Just let it go~~~~

    My mother brings up stuff that bugs her often about the Witnesses. I don't want to ignore that for her benefit. But of course, when she feels threatened she goes back to defensive mode......DIS, how are ladies in Montreal, my friend?

    I understand, then you just have to put up with the crapola.......Nice that JWD offers support for those times when we just need to blow off some steam.
