Breaking in my new scanner here. This is another image that captured my eye, an August 2004 WT. The caption reads: "Some have eliminated certain hobbies and nonessential personal projects" Can you come up with a better one?

"The new improved machine taper! A boon for exJWs with deficient parcel wrapping skills! You too can send Christmas presents that show the wrapping expertise of your new friends and colleagues!"

The audacity of those people makes my blood boil. I guess they operate under the assumption that a sucker is born every minute.

    Hey Jag...
Maybe it's more appropriate to say that they Survive with the Fact that a sucker is born every minute!

I remember that picture. The man and woman are boxing up their hobbies.............50 years in the WTS and never heard of anyone ever doing that.

Hobbies are a waste of time. Here's one hobby I "boxed up." Actually, I tossed all my "literature" except for a library copy.

"Look at this new skill I just learned at bethel. They taught me how to seal a box properly, and now I can help send the literature out".

"We don't have time for this hobby. 1975 will be here soon and the end of this system. Let's go out in service and tell people because the end is imminent."

"What were we thinking? This might be an enjoyable thing our family could do together. We can't have that. It is untheocratic."
