First you need to be a little bit nuts!.Your going to rule in heaven with God ..This is a big job,God can`t do it by himself. He`s getting old and uses a walker to get around..Secondly you need to enjoy wine ond crackers once a year. They always taste better when no one else gets any and they have to watch you have a nice snack..Thirdly you have to be able to wrestle..There`s too many 144,000.It`s more like 432,000.So Gods going to have a elimination Wrestling Match for everyone who signed up..It will be a Tables and Chairs match,No holds Barred"..When it`s all said and done there will be some of the toughest 144,000 ruling with God..It`s in the Bible..LOL!!...OUTLAW

It is just a question of being in the right place at the right time. As Blondie said, the calling is said to have opened at Pentecost 33ce. if you were a true Christian between then and 1935 then you were IN , because that was the hope then on offer. After 1935 the number was said to be filled and the hope reverted to the Earthly one. (BS I know but....)
Funnystrange comment in the Insight book that Mary showed us. As she says, if he qualified to be on earth, why not heaven? They say that plenty of ex villains will be in the 144k,(1 Corinthians 6:9-11) 9 What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, 10 nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom. 11 And yet that is what some of YOU were. But YOU have been washed clean, but YOU have been sanctified, but YOU have been declared righteous in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the spirit of our God.
As to being "with me" in paradise , the dubs say that being on Earth in the New World will be being with Jesus, in a manner of speaking. (Go figure?)

gordon said: Jeezzzsh Mary! Why does everything have to be so "Biblical" with you? I KNOW that's what the Bible says... but that's NOT what they meant... You really need someone to help you understand what was being impied by the words.. not what was being said by them. Sure, You have a knowledge of scriptures and can probably prove just about any bizarre thing that you want with them... but is that really honoring Jehovah by being obedient?
Ah, bite me.
This is my point exactly. Jesus said to him....."You will be with ME in Paradise". How could he be with Jesus in Paradise, if he ended up on Paradise earth?
This is another sleigh-of-hand manuvering that the GB employs. If a scripture conflicts with their doctrine, they simply said that Jesus didn't really mean what he said in a literal sense, only in a figurative sense. They do it with this scripture, they do it with the scripture that talks about Jesus' Second Coming and how "every eye will see him" and they do it when they're trying to explain how the Great Crowd, which is seen in heaven and before the throne, is really just us suckers down here on earth.
***School Guidebook study 23 p. 120 VolumeandPausing***
Misplaced pauses can completely change the thought of a sentence. An illustration of this is the words of Jesus at Luke 23:43, "Truly I tell you today, You will be with me in Paradise." If the comma or pause were put between the first "you" and "today" a completely different thought would result, as is evidenced by the common misinterpretation of this text.So right here they admit that moving the comma would change a great portion of their man made doctrines. Without using any justification whatsoever, the R&F are simply told to 'make sure you pause at the right moment, or you'll be up shit's creek without a paddle.'

Wonderful observation, also if Jesus was in the tomb for 3 days Demis could not have been raised to paradise that day. Right?

Mary The GB realize that this scripture was a very dangerous one, because it would blow their theory that you simply are dead in the ground when you die. Thus, they simply moved the comma from before the word "today", thus claiming that Jesus did not promise the Evildoer that he would be anywhere but six feet under. Needless to say, there's not one other bible translation out there that places the comma after "today", but that shouldn't come as any big surprise. Leave the comma out then and consider this - Jesus was not ressurected till the third day so how could he say that Dismus would be in Paradise THAT day unless perhaps the both did come to life again immediately at death and went to heaven and Jesus waited there maybe until the third day to rise again to show his disciples he spoke truth about himself coming back for a while to strengthen them till he ascended again in the clouds. Of course this still puts paradise in heaven and not on earth for nothing here changed physically. Steve

In JW venacular, (i.e. the "annointed") self delusional would pretty much sum it up.. For nearly a year I challenged an "annointed" who posts here on JWD about the issue. Don't know if he (Jim) ever fessed up to the fact it is purely an egotistical decision. Has nothing to do with reality.
