The Red, White and Blue flies high!

I have never owed a flag, certainly never flown one at my home. Today I hung one proud and high on my front stoop.

I bought two of them - one will likely be hung in the back entrance area. The local witness car groups might have to have a swing by to see the spectacle of the 'apostate flag worshiper', a former servant and pioneer, now falling back to the 'worldly ways'. BTW - I never had 'wordly ways' since I was virtually always a witness.

Another notch on the freedom marker.

Next you have to put up the "No Jehovahs Witnesses" sign and you'll be set!

Since you are a "newbie" flag flier....I just wanted to give you heads up on what people do. When it is dark, you take it down, or have lights on it....and if it gets tangled up....you try to fix it soon. I don't know of anything else...but we just found this out recently ourselves.

Jeff, let me know when that car group will be coming by, and I will gladly position myself in your front yard saluting and pledging allegiance to the flag.

Only one person in a 10-block radius here has a flag pole...lights are required if you fly it at night or you must take it down.

I guess when you haven't been told you can't fly the flag, it is not a big deal in general for non-JWs, as least here anyway.

I remember purchasing my first flag for the 4th of July holiday. What a great feeling.

Here's a link regarding flag etiquette:

Cultural differences... I never saw the (blue, red and white) flag on any private home in France.

Yes, you must be used to the white "We Surrender" flag. Sorry, couldn't help myself.

I think in general Americans are far more patriotic (at least visually) then most other nationalities (Canada included).
