I can only remember being asked for identification twice, and both times I showed the householder my driving license. I certainly wouldn't have shown my no blood card, though I always carried it. Too many householders were against the jw blood policy to do that.

choosing life
I attended a congregation once where the city council insisted that the Witnesses not go door to door unless they registered and carried a special card from the city. It went to the society and they said it was ok as long as we didn't have to pay any money for the card. So we all had to obtain and carry this card when working in that territory. Eventually it just all faded away and they no longer required it. I can't remember exactly what the card said, just that we were Jehovah's Witnesses. It was many years ago. It didn't have a picture of us or anything though.

Mysterious
JWs say they are supported by donations. They also say you can right these donations off on your taxes as charitable. The hell if I would donate to any charity who would not identify themselves. That said I've never not been able to spot a dub on sight though some of my friend still mix them up with the mormons.
