Ok well the tonisllectomy went well. They got the tonsils and the adenoids and didn't go ahead with the tubes in her ears.
They kept her overnight because of her history with the apnea and with the anasthesia, they wanted to keep an eye on her for one night. We got back this morning.
She did awesome!!!! Thank you all so much for the prayers and well wishes! She really pulled through this beautifully. By last night she was up watching Spongebob and eating jello and drinking ice water. She did vomit twice becasue of the anasthesia so they gave her anti nausea and she pulled out of it.
The only time she really fussed bad, was when she thought I was turning off Spongebob after I told her we could watch it again. I was rewinding it, lol. The nurse came in all concerned, to find out that it was over the tv.
They did a cat scan on her ear because the Dr found a small growth behind her right ear drum. He got the report this morning but has not seen the scan himself. He doesn't sound too worried. There is a disorder, which I can't remember how to spell the name right now, that is congenital, where a small mass of skin cells grows in the ear and sometimes they remove it sometimes not. He sounds like he might consider it when we go in for her follow up.
My mom showed up yesterday. ....That was interesting.
Truthfully, I will talk more about that when I get my thoughts together and figure some stuff out.
I can sum it up with one sentance:
She called an elder and told him about the surgery and he said Well yeah, it's your granddaughter and you want to be there.
I get the impression she called for "permission".
I'm tired, and Turkey Day is two days away. So when I got back my mother in law watched Hannah and I took my younger daughter to the store to get a gobbler and some extras.
Now, I'm ready to make dinner and crash for the night.
I really appreciate you guys and your thoughts.
I think in some ways I got a lot of closure out of this with my family. I'll explain later. til then
thank you thank you thank you
