There has been 3 strange things that has happened to me and my husband since we moved to our new place here in June.

One of the others happened when the workers that installed the washing machine didn't connect the drane hose properly under the mini home and the water was just running out under the home...Anyway one day I heard tapping and talking (Which you can only hear really faint when someone is under the home)and thought that it was the workers that were here to fix their mistake, but then after about 2 minutes I could hear what sounded like growling, that's when I checked to see just what was going on and nothing...No one was here!

The last one was about 2-3 weekends ago when I was alone in our bedroom, I heard what sounded kids talking and tapping/banging ....Now the only kids around here are little, one is three and the other two are around 6, none that are allowed out on their own or off their own property.....So I thought it was the neighbor that has the 2 kids that are 6, he comes over every now and then to help us with building our garage (But I already warned hubbie that I didn't want his kids around anymore because of the noise and them getting into stuff, walking on the grass that we were trying to put in, etc...I've been there done that with kids , I don't have to put up with them anymore till I have grandkids!..LOL)...So after about 5-10 minutes listening to them and getting pissed off at what they could be into, I was about to go and tell hubbie to make an excuse that we had to go to town to pick something up (which I did need something but it could have waited) so they would leave, when hubbie comes in the room to see if I was ready to go out and start working ...I asked what in the hell were the kids into or doing...He said that no one was here!.... Ok course I went over the whole thing with him and he assured me that they were not around!

We live in the country and the closest kid (The 3 year old) lives about 2-3 acres away and the others are about 1/4 of a mile away...It's really quiet, we hear nothing but the birds and horses!....So what everything was, I don't know. The land has been vacant for over 70 years, we had to clear the land of the 50-60 foot high trees...So if something happened on the land it could have happened along time ago.

My theory is that it doesn't have to be something that happened at/on a specific site. I feel that 'they' can 'come home with us' - so to speak.

My experience with these entities - seems to bear this out. I think that one latched-on to my wife (who was my girlfriend at the time). We had just visited one of the local missions here, and she had had one of her experiences - where she 'feels' those entities that lurk in some places.

Of course... my first experience with these entities - was little children noises - playing - running through the house (sounds of running feet on the floor) - in my first mobile home. I attributed it to noisy neighbor-kids, until I realized it was happening waaaaay too late at night - when everyone was fast asleep. I also realized that my neighbors had no children... another clue - for someone slow like me. Anyway - they were harmless, and I let them 'play'.

One day, I started to notice that after going to the bathroom, and leaving the seat up, I would go back in and the seat was now down.

Obviously, the entity is female. Seriously though, I believe you. Unclebruce was telling me of the bizarre experiences he's had on his property Down Under which is located on an Aboriginal burying ground. While alot of experiences can be explained by science, too many of them can't.

This has happened here also. The owner and I both saw something go by the large door at the same time.

A co-worker once saw something red go around the corner of the main house. She was so adament about it, that we both went outside to check. Of course, we didn't see anything.

if you were to ask a witness why this is happening, it's because you're not attending meetings and you probably have hidden crosses and ouija boards. but if a witness were to witness (!) paranormal activity, it's just the demons attacking jehovah's servants :D

I posted a topic a few days back on similar matters - and the nay-sayers came out.

But I believe what you are saying. There are some people who would make up things to get attention - I don't see that in your character - nor in the character of the other posters who had experiences.

>No, not really another issue. Any thinking human being capable of rational thought would seek an explanation for an unknown phenomenon. I wonder, if you went to a doctor, who, without ever examining you said, "I believe you have cancer. How, where and why is another issue" would you put as much faith in their claim?

>Whose saying its not true? What the skeptic doubts is the proposed "supernatural" explanations that are offered for events for which no tangible evidence (beyond a cute story) are ever offered. I can simultaneously believe an individual "believes" they had such and such experience that within their own minds, was real. That does not make it real. Whats more, I can accept how a person "perceived" a particular sensory experience while simultaneously considering alternative, more empirical explanations for why they perceived what they did....

> I think its more an issue of those claiming supernatural experiences desperately wanting to believe that there IS a supernatural world, and by extension, god. Regardless, as Six rightly pointed out, even if tangible proof for supernatural phenomena was ever presented, it would in no way be evidence for some "god-like" creature existing in the universe.

I totally believe you, I have had several incidents going back to when I was a kid.

I lived in a house that was haunted, it was a very large 6 bedroom house, however, when my parents bought the house it was sold as a 5 bedroom house, we found that it did have one more bedroom that was closed off, it was an upstairs bedroom next to the garage attic, one day my parents were having some work done to the plumbing and they found out that there was another room, it was small like a 12x 10 bedroom with yellow wall paper, no carpet and the window that was to the room was replaced by some kind of metal vent.

Shortly after that room was discovered there was a lot of activity in the house, what made it even more odd is that my parents never noticed any of it. At one point it was so bad that 4 good friends of mine refused to enter the house, and one left my house screaming after a woman was following her up the stairs and disappeared, another stayed the night and jumped out of bed ran out of the house and left later he told me that when he was asleep a male voice was whispering in his ear in a language that sounded like latin. To this day my friend Becki will not talk about what happen to her inside my parents house.

I have lived in about 7 different places since my parents house, I have never experianced the same kind of things as I did at that house, but I have had other strange things happen, a few I've posted here before, like my trip to Ireland and my visit to Christ Church Cathedral I recorded voices, screams and moans on video camera that you can only hear if you turn the volume up to max.

Another time I went with a friend to a cemetary in Kansas, she was doing that grave stone charcoal rubbing, I had my camera with me and took pictures before we entered the cemetary and after we left the film was ok on the photos before and after but all the photos while inside the cemetary were black and messed up, infact I went back to the photo place that developed the film and he said he never has seen anthing like it before and took out the negatives to show me that it was not the developing, when I told him that those photos were taken inside a cemetary he told me that I should sell the film to a magazine or something. One side note to that all the photos before and after the cemetary were on one roll of film and my camera didn't have a lens cap.

I was waiting for you to post this Warlock, i remember you telling me about it at halloween time and then i was awake half the night thinking about it!Well done for posting it anyway and i know these things can happen because of what i experienced several times. At least the activity seems to have subsided for now so you can concentrate on your work(or jwd lol!)
