I feel that it is safe to conclude that many of us on JWD not only sacked our entire body of elders we also sacked the corrupt Governing Body.

I was the chair of an appeal committee that had to deal with the actions of a special committee that disfellowshipped 8 people in Ogdensburg, NY. What a mess that was. I think most, if not all, the Ogdensburg elders were removed at the time.
Wilton, NH is not far from here, and I drive by that hall a few times a year when I'm traveling. Anyone from the Wilton area on the board?

If an elder body is removed, it is most likely for lieing to the WTS, defying the WTS, etc., not for "hurting" the rank and file.
I have known of 4 elder bodies that were removed and 5 congregations that were dissolved for defying the WTS.

When one of my dear friends moved to a new area, the first meeting he attended at his new hall, was the school and service meeting. After song and prayer, he said, one by one, all the elders in the congregation got up on the podium and apologized to the congregation. He said he was kind of confused and thought "what's going on here?". The brother sitting next to him leaned over and told my friend "I don't think you want to be coming here". After the meetings, he left and never went back to that congregation.

Taos, NM in 1983, if I remember correctly. The entire elder body was removed by a Special Committee, and one Elder was DF'd. My dad walked into this, and a congregation that was in the final planning stages of building a new KH. My parents had decided to move back to New Mexico because my grandmother was "on her deathbed" (she is still alive, and feisty as ever at the age of 98).
My dad aged about ten years in that time. After about 6 months of my dad handling everything, the CO finally found someone to com up and help him. He handled everything. Fortunately, there were Congs. close by that sent Elders down to give the Public Talks. Eventually, another Elder moved from the 50 publisher Cong. just north of us, and took a lot of the pressure of my dad. Another Elder moved up from the 35 member Cong. southeast of us, and my family began to have some semblance of a normal JW life. When this mess was settled, it was the first time I had ever seen my parents take a vacation. I am not suprised that my dad did not have a mental breakdown over the whole thing.

What I'd heard about the only mass elder removal I know of was that involved the modification of documents sent back and forth from that congregation to the WT organization. The "body" was dimed out by one of the elder's wives who basically wanted to get back at her elder hubby for the way he'd treated her during an emergency she had with her family.
The whole body was brought down and that ex-elder for along time placed the blame squarely on his wife. He's still smarting over that one.
The two of them are still together making each others life hell, slaves to each other under the WT's spell. When asked about the particulars of what happened, ot this day, neither one will talk about it.

This happened here but not all at once. Within a one year period though all elders were removed except one. One of twelve. Actually our hall was well-known for it's problems.

You mean the big Greek guy? He removed three, (at least), on our BOE in the early '90s. The PO and two of his buddies.
