Having legs it could have worn some sort of JW suit...
As we are in rambling mode:
- there is a conspicuous pun in Genesis 2:25--3:1: The man and the woman were `arummim, "naked," and the serpent was `arum, "discreet-crafty-wise".
- in Gilgamesh XI the serpent who steals the plant of life eats it and sloughs its scaling.
- unclothing / clothing as symbols of death and everlasting life in the NT and early Christian/Gnostic literature...
