wow! everyone has such classy taste here!
i really am a sucker for pretty much anything baroque. i consider vivaldi to be one of the first rock n rollers. all those strings feel electric sometimes.

This is such a hard question! I love your all your choices.
Mine? Perhaps Rachmaninov's variations on a theme from Paganini and Rimsky-Korsakov's Sheherazade.

Just asking if their are any fans of Erik Satie's Gymnopedies or the series "Crooked Dances" or Claude Debussy's "Claire De Lune" , "Reverie", "Estampes" or Deux Arabesques"?
I use to play all of these. Maybe someday I can again.

Johann Pachelbel's Canon in D to hear it live with a full string orchestra is an extremely moving experience

I have to concur with Rachmaninoff's 2nd and 3rd, Grieg's in A minor.
Obviously love those powerful piano pieces!

"Ein Deutsches Requiem" by Johannes Brahms. Especially Movements Two "Denn alles Fleisch, es ist wie Gras" and Six "Denn wir haben keine bleibende Statt".
