Did the JW's ever admit that they were wrong on something?

Does this imply that there is never a "truth"

    Of course not!

Since the organization IS the truth, it's just a matter that imperfect people don't understand certain things. As new light is introduced, the meek R&F then realize how stupid they were for not understanding something much sooner. Typically, it's because they lack understanding and have not applied the information sufficiently in their lives. They need to study more in the publications to readjust their minds to the truth.

    Did that make any sense?

I would have a more positive view of the org if they were admit to all their errors. And not just admit but apologize. A real apology not one of those " I'm sorry if you took what we said the wrong way" lame apologies.

But, don't worry. There is no way the GB would be humble enough to admit they did anything wrong.

When they get caught in a lie, they call it a mistake.

They can't admit they were wrong on anything.

Otherwise questions would be asked... "If they were wrong on that...could they be wrong on other things?"

To dangerous to admit they were actually wrong on something. Could snowball and lead to a lot of doubting of what is right and wrong.

Doubting Bro: And not just admit but apologize.

Amen! Their own policies on how to determine repentance condemn them as unrepentant.

    They fail to:

    (1) Acknowledge specific errors committed and demonstrate a capacity to explain why it was wrong to ensure that the error will not be repeated in future.

    (2) Express remorse (a stricken spirit) over any ill effects caused by their errors.

    (3) Make an effort to right any wrongs done—mitigate harm—to the extent possible. A fairly great extent in most cases, for a multi-billion dollar company.

Therefore, Romans 2:1, 2 rightly calls them inexcusable. There is no excuse for persons who are inexcusable.

How right you are. The more I think about the above, the more angry I become at them. They certainly are following a 1st century example, but not that of the apostles but rather that of the Pharisees (who they love to hammer). If Jesus were on earth today, I think he would use the same words to address the GB as he used at Matt 23.

    What a question!

Of course they don't admit they are wrong, the nearest they ever got to it was this quote, about 1975:

    1980 Yearbook of Jehovah's Witnesses pp.30-31

The brothers also appreciated the candor of this same talk, which acknowledged the Society's responsibility for some of the disappointment a number felt regarding 1975.

    http://www.quotes-watchtower.co.uk/1975.html

However, they published other information at around the same time saying that most of the speculation at the time was due to a few brothers running ahead of the society.
