Ok so why do they request the right to view your medical rcords inthe UK but nto in the US?

I understand that the scanned blood card posted above is actually a very old edition of the (No) Blood card.

So what exactly do the dubbies do with that card? Do they make people produce the card in a surprise inspection or something? Unbelievable how they can say the mosaic law is obsolete and then drag it up on stuff like that. I suppose they fast and buy kosher meat or any number of other things the mosaic law mentions.

It's used by the dubs as a de-facto I.D. card. Forget the tosh about the blood and all that, the real reason is to have all dubbies have an I.D. card ready to produce. It's been used at Witness events downunder as just that and people attending a special meeting have had to produce their I.D. (i.e. blood card) at the door.

Remember too that only baptised dubbies "in good standing" are eligible to receive one.

When a JW is DF they are supposed to surrender their ~~I.D. card~~blood card.

There were Two threads on this started last year the very evening when the new cards came out.

One by me, and one by (I think) Kittyeatsjdubs or Jeannie Beanz.

Both new cards in Uk and Us have a segment saying the Victim consents to let the Hospital Liason Elders read your medical records. You can strike it out if you don't want this.

Correction....I was actually given a NEW blood card the first time I was disfellowshipped back in '03 or '04...maybe '05. 2 elders signed it as witnesses for me and everything. When I got disfellowshipped the 2nd time, noone asked me to surrender my card. I had already burned it anyway.

Yep I was asked for mine on my way out of my judicial commitee. It was a harsh call.

My brother said how good it was in the states after travelling there cos theyve got these blood cards saying everything you will and wont take, My reply, you know who you have to thank for that.
