How about you?
Baptized in 1988 and it wasn't until 1994 or 1995 that I felt like some things were not quite right.
The worst thing is, that after 1995, I waited 10 more years of secret research
to make my decision to leave.
Very similar to me , although raiased in the WTS had a walkabout period in my teens , did not get baptized till 88 and stopped going to meetings in 92 , Da'ed in 95
Because I waited to I was 20 to get dipped I didn't get one.
The honeymoon ended as soon as I stepped out of the pool. There was no longer any reason for anyone to display their fake interest in me, and they weren't even half ways polite in their brush-offs. They had their sucker, me, and there was no longer any need to be nice any more. By that evening I was already questioning my decision to get baptized. That day ushered in the lonliest, most hellish 20 years of my life.

I recall experiencing that too...
No more I love you's
Finally-Free That's the way it was for me too. I was halfway through my second book when I was dipped. I think it was their truth book. After that the elder I was studying with made more and more excuses canceling study after study untill he stopped showing up altogether. Then, one day at one of the meetings, he tries to pawn me off to finish the book with somoeone who'd just been reinstated. Their fake interest had definitely cooled off.
I got no reply...Just want to say hello to JH and hope all is well!
Hi Legolas
I enjpyed most of my time as a jw. After being baptised in 1983, and becoming a pioneer a year later, the first less than enjoyable experience was the period after I gave up pineering in 1990, when the elders and circuit overseer were pressuribg me to sign up again, which I knew was too much for me. Finally, they gave up, and I settled down again, and was fine until my doubts started to get the better of me about 18 - 20 months ago.
