My mom is starting to pry again in to why I not doing well as a dub. I told last time and she sicked the elders on me I manged to get them off me but I don't think I care about this any more. She can get over it I hate the WTB$, I hate meetings, and I hate snubing worldy people just because they don't agree with some idiots on a funny farm in new york.

You can approach it anumber of ways.

You can write a detailed letter of why you are DAing. It may be therapeutic to you but no one will read it.

You can send a brief note saying you no longer wish to be known as a JW and leave it at that.

Or you can refuse to play their game and let them run around after you while you get on with life.

I think if you lay out issues you may be inviting the elders to come and talk you out of DA'ing.

    Cheers, Pete

Why dissacociate yourself? Then you are playing their game. Then you have lost all control and make yourself vulnerable to them. Just stop going to the meetings and dont talk to them.

This is a good point...by playing the game you are submitting to their perceived power and allowing yourself to be subject to it. Dont play their game; play your own...you dont answer to them or anyone. G

It's all in the contents of the letter and your reasons for writing it. You don't have to explain your reasons or beliefs to anyone. On the other hand, warning someone to get the fuck out of your life, stop harassing you, and to stop trespassing on your property - OR ELSE - is NOT "playing their game" by even the wildest stretch of the imagination, and only a complete idiot would think otherwise.

Forcibly seizing control of your own life is not playing anyone's game but your own.

That is a valid point. Everyone has to decide for themselves what they want to do. DA can force an end to a situation with the elders, but it puts your mom in a challenge of her loyalty to WTS against her love for you. She would probably choose the cult (nothing personal, it's what they do). You can just be straight up and not give anyone enough evidence to DF you, move on. They might do it anyway, but the result would be the same as the DA.

On the other hand, you know your dad will be talking to you, you may deep down be helping mom by taking such a stand as to DA.

Decide what you want, if it's DA, decide what will help mom the most- detailed letter or just a quick note. Don't do it for the benefit of anyone but yourself and your family.

How about...short note to the elders, long note to anyone you care about in the society?

Edited to add: I like how bigmouth laid out your options and the consequences.
