i just saw this questionare that asks you 20 ?? on your own thoughts or beleifs,, then it gives you a % of which ones you are most attracted to.. my highest came up church of christ, and scientist,, followed closely by new age ,, jw came in at 50 % i was hoping it would be less, but it was an interesting couple of minutes to spend my time,, my bro is church of christ, and i went once or twice and found it good, just still feel abit lost to actually going full steam ahead with a particular way, would rather just sit back and look, and take care of myself and family as best i can...

We have a brain and although some of can be very intelligent it seems in a lot of ways common sense is missing. I would call myself a secular humanist. That is I try to put myself in other peoples shoes and feel their pain. The world is full of problems so use logic wherever you can and try to deal with reality. God will never come out of the sky and do it for us. We have it within ourselves to make the world a better place and bring mankind as a collective to our destinies. All else is bull shit and surviving rather than living. Logic and love rule, there is nothing else. Let us deal with it.

Destiny is illogical (on the micro scale of life anyway) nor can the concept of 'better' be defined as it is an abstract concept. Could we make the world a 'better' place merely by changing our attitude to our experiences without altering a single physical factor? Though it wouldn't show up on any statistical surveys of qualiy of life I suspect we could. I was surprised to find the belief -o - net gave me JW and B'ahai as my 3rd and 2nd choices.

The one that uses the Bible and especially the scripture at Micah 6:8

8 No, O people, the L ord has told you what is good,
and this is what he requires of you:
to do what is right, to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with your God.

Too many rules with man made religion, the Bible is hard to understand in many points and we should probably read it but don't get dogmatic about it, but really when it comes to what is acceptable to God, as noted above, the Bible is really easy.

Be good, do to others as done to yourself, be humble, be merciful, "I want mercy not sacrifice", believe in Christ's blood, faith in God, , the whole law hangs on two scriptures, love God and love your neighbor, it really isn't rocket science.

That is the religion that is acceptable to me. That is my kind of religion. Oopps religion is a form of worship based on man made laws, I really don't like religion, what I like is worshipping God based on His written Word through His Son.
