Just checked the www.watchtower.org and there is an frontpage article which surely is a ncessary read for all those you eagerly following the Slave class in an effort to gain everlasting life.

It's life-saving title is "Pets - How do you view them?". Urgent information needed to survive the impending strike of Armageddon!!

and here is how the article starts:

    Animals

    A Gift From God

    In this series:

HAVE you ever visited a zoo or a circus? Did you yearn to hold or pet one of the beautiful animals—perhaps a majestic lion or a huge Siberian tiger? You may have been thrilled to see an animal trainer or a caretaker do so. Indeed, a Bible writer nearly 2,000 years ago said: "Every species of wild beast as well as bird and creeping thing and sea creature is to be tamed and has been tamed by humankind."— James 3:7 .

    Look Watchtower! Listen carefully!!!

    LIONS EAT PEOPLE!!!

They are deadly predators!!!! I DON'T WANT TO PET ONE!!! Just get over the lions already!!!

    Pope

PS Nice to see the tigers being accepted once again though!

Aren't tigers evil? Didn't the Watchtower have a picture of a tiger being falling into a bottomless pit at Armageddon?

Not only do lions kill people, they kill each other. The Wichita Zoo had a male lion kill a female lion. Besides a lion's fur looks very course, not exactly a pleasure to pet, I'm certain. What's wrong with petting the animals we can already pet? Is anybody's life going to be more fulfilled by petting a lion? How long will the joy of that last even if we could pet lions?

Awake! photographer "throws" zookeeper to the lions

For more than a century Jehovah's Witnesses are waiting for the New World where "the wolf will actually reside for a while with the male lamb, and with the kid the leopard itself will lie down, and the calf and the maned young lion and the well-fed animal all together; and a mere little boy will be leader over them…" (Isaiah 11:6-9).

Their imagination is sometimes so strong that they pretend they already live in paradise where the lion lost his appetite for human flesh. George Koll, owner of the 77 Zoological Park in Florida Panhandle was giving a tour to several reporters from Awake! magazine, published by the Jehovah's Witnesses, when the Awake! photographer asked him to get in the cage with the lion for a picture.

The male lion, with the biblical name Samson, grabbed Koll by the neck and dragged him across the cage after the zookeeper slipped and fell in the cage. The Awake! photographer jumped into the cage with a stick and pushed the lion away from Koll.

The zookeeper's condition is serious but stable. I don't think the Awake! will publish the lion attack photo's…

My previous post was in a blog and that guy is supposed to be a Jehovah's Witness. No way of knowing for certain though.

hey: I just read a cool article about tigers being raised on pigs milk, complete with pictures. A zoo in Thailand. The piggies and tigers hang out together, no eating goes on, they are all well fed by other means. Very interesting. Not quite lion and lamb, but almost. Tiger and pig doesn't have quite the same ring to it. I'll see if I can post the photo...

I can't believe you guys are showing such little respect for delightful words of truth "at the proper time" and "in due season".
