30 years ago a college education was "frown on"(to close to the end)...............Yet at bethel they were given the best jobs.
Every job at bethel is a "privilege of service" ......yet were I worked at, the laundry.......brothers were sent there (as punishment) if they turned in their notice to leave before their time was up...they got what was called "the shaft".....The Elders said "There is NO shaft at bethel"
A JW in america will be considered bad association for watching any R-rated film, but in Canada, where there's no rating system, Elders watch the same film with immunity.
Um, actually yes, our movies are rated here. And the bros will definitely get in trouble if anyone sees them going into an R-rated movie.

The literature is giving free, "Come drink life's waters free" "You received free give free." Announcement in Our Kingdom Ministry, Brothers as you are aware of how costly it is to produce the literature please pay for your orders especially "Special Orders", then say to the householder, "The offer is "FREE", however, we will be happy to accept a small donation for the world - wide work. The Society "Double Dips" here, The brothers pay up front for the literature, the congregation pays for the literature in case the friends don't pay enough, then the householder pays for the literature which the friends have to turn into "THE SOCIETY' $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. I remember when you could keep the money you collected out in service, ( you know pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters ) now, some have a special extra change purse to put the donations in to bring to the box in the hall.

JW's are posers. They habitually pretend to be something they are not.
The dubs are told to shun their disfellowshipped children, but if they are in need of care or God forbid money, they are often told to try to get help from their family - Their disfellowshipped kids.
Criticizing the Menonites for shunning those who leave the religion (see WT 9/2005) while maintaing a "marked" and "shunned" list of ex and current JWs.
Not even the Menonites shun their own children the way JWs are encouraged to do.
